At Two Rivers Psychiatric Hospital, seven disciplines work under the direction of the medical director/psychiatrist and experienced program director to facilitate comprehensive, individualized treatment. These plans may include redirecting behavioral, trauma-based, compulsive, and addictive disorders.
Through its professional, multidisciplinary team of psychiatrists, psychologists, professional nurses, social workers, and therapists, psychological illnesses are treated as complex and interdependent. This team often utilizes a dual – or multi-problem focused approach – to effectively address behavioral, trauma-based, and addictive disorders.
Team communication is facilitated by professional case managers. Relapse-prevention techniques provide patients with new skills that encourage more successful recoveries. To promote healing, significant family and referral source involvement is encouraged. |
