Two Rivers Hospital participates in most insurance plans. Your Assessment Referral Coordinator will help determine appropriateness for your specific insurance plan.

What is the Admissions process? |
| |
The first step is to call an Assessment Referral Coordinator. This call can be placed through our main number (816) 382-6300 or toll free (800) 225-8577. Calls can be placed 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. |

Where is the hospital located? |
| |
Two Rivers Psychiatric Hospital is in Kansas City, MO, approximately two miles south of Arrowhead Stadium. The hospital address is 5121 Raytown Road, Kansas City, MO 64133. |

What happens when I arrive? |
| |
You will be asked to fill out a Patient Profile on your demographic data and health history. The Assessment Referral Coordinator will take this form and complete your medical screen and mental health screen. |

What do I need to bring? |
| |
Your safety and that of other patients, staff, and visitors is of upmost concern. It is recommended that you come to your assessment prepared to stay.
You may bring up to three changes of clothing and toiletry items. Fold clothing (no hangers) and place in non-plastic containers. |

Is there anything I cannot bring to the hospital? |
| |
When you arrive, hospital staff will review your items and help determine appropriateness,
on a case-by-case basis.
Below is a listing of things you cannot bring to the facility.
This listing is not all inclusive and subject to change.
- pillows, blankets, fluffy slippers and stuffed animals are not allowed (infection control)
- Food and/or drinks
- Cell phones. Phones are provided on the units.
- Cash greater than $20.00
- Purses
- Sharps, firearms, or weapons of any kind
- Drugs and/or alcohol
- MP3 players, I-Pods, CD players, headphones, radios, televisions, etc.
- Jewelry
- Cigarettes, lighters
- Shoelaces, belts, drawstrings, hooded sweatshirts, belts, scarves, or ties
- Plastic bags of any kind
- More than three changes of clothing
- Toiletries in glass or plastic containers
- Razors

What are the visitation hours? |
| |
Visitation hours are individualized for each unit. A current schedule of visitation hours is available at the front lobby desk. |

Is transportation provided? |
| |
Generally, transportation is provided within a 20 mile radius. Special consideration can be made beyond this radius. |
