Child and Adolescent Programs

Focusing on patient’s strengths!

The Child and Adolescent Programs at Two Rivers Behavioral Health System are designed for patients who are emotionally disregulated, in need of behavior modification, medication initiation or management and a structured environment. The Child and Adolescent Programs address child mental health and teen mental health issues, focusing on the strengths of the patient while maintaining a safe and supportive environment. Family or primary support involvement is crucial in both the stabilization process and successful transition to outpatient services.

  • Child Program – Ages 5 to 12
  • Adolescent Program – Ages 13 through 17
  • Behavior Modification, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy
  • Play, Art and Expressive Therapy
  • Group and Family Therapy
  • Medication – Initiation, Modification and Management
  • Substance abuse issues
  • Parenting and/or Caregiver Education
  • Length of stay is based on medical necessity

Physicians are on the medical staff of Two Rivers Behavioral Health System, but, with limited exceptions, are independent practitioners who are not employees or agents of Two Rivers Behavioral Health System. The facility shall not be liable for actions or treatments provided by physicians.
