Two Rivers Behavioral Health recognizes that individuals with psychiatric disorders may be overwhelmed with their past and future journeys. Initially, individuals may feel sadness, hopelessness, and anger due to problems in managing their illness and life stressors. We would like to assist you in any way possible to ensure that your stabilization and treatment experience is one of safety, quality and healing.
Treatment requires that individuals actively engage in activities that heal the mind, body, emotions, and spirit. We utilize the stabilization and treatment period to assist patients in learning the skills necessary to become more resilient and mindful regarding psycho-social stressors. The goal is to help people build and regain their dignity, happiness, and quality of life. The active participation of the individual is directly related to a successful reduction of symptoms and an increased balanced lifestyle.
Patients are encouraged to actively participate in their treatment with their treatment team. For all programs, the treatment team meets regularly to discuss major therapeutic decisions. Treatment team meetings are held twice a week to evaluate the patient’s progress toward treatment goals. In addition, a family/support meeting is encouraged to involve support persons in treatment and discharge plans.
Our program utilizes the latest research advances in selecting evidence-based medicine and best practice therapeutic modalities to treat mental health disorders and substance use. It is critical that patients take an active role in their recovery process. Our staff believes that Knowledge and Action are two crucial components of successful recovery.
